How to replace your Hotmail email login to the new Outlook.com?

The new Microsoft e-mail service , Outlook .com, allows the old "@ hotmail.com" addresses to be used. However, many will prefer to take advantage of the fact that the service has few users to create a new login in Outlook.com . But how to do this without losing your old messages and the previous address? Follow this TechTudo tutorial and find out how to replace your Hotmail email login with the new Outlook.com .

Step 1. Access the address "www.hotmail.com";

Step 2. Enter your current username and password and then click the "Enter" button;

Step 3. Within the service, press the gear icon, which is at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the option "More configurations of email";

Step 4. On the next screen, select the option "Rename your e-mail address";

Step 5. Enter the name you want to use and click the "Save" button;

Step 6. You will be directed to the login screen of the new service. Enter the e-mail address, the current password and click the "Enter" button;

Step 7. When you first enter the new address, you will be asked if you want the messages from the previous account to be placed in a separate folder or kept in the Outlook.com inbox. Choose the option that is most convenient and click the "Done" button.

Ready! Your new email address is now active, and your old messages are still available to be accessed whenever you need them. It is important to remember that scraps sent to the previous address will still be received and directed to the location defined in step seven.
