What is the difference between Hotmail and Gmail?

Hotmail and Gmail are the two most used free email systems in the world. Despite having the same objective, its functionalities and navigation are different. 
Hotmail , which is currently migrating to the new update called Hotmail.com, belongs to the Microsoft company and is the oldest mail system on the Internet.

Gmail  is a much more recent creation and belongs to the company Google. Its design is more minimalist, according to the new trends in all platforms developed in recent years.
