How to search my Hotmail emails
If we are of those users who have a large list of contacts added to our Hotmail or Outlook.com email service, surely by now our inbox and other folders will be full of messages. We must add to all this avalanche all the emails we receive daily from notifications of social networks and advertising and various promotions. If it is not that we are especially careful with cleaning schedules and eliminating unhelpful messages, we can imagine the volume of archived emails .
All this accumulation of messages, day after day, it becomes a really complicated task to perform a manual search to locate specific information in our inbox.
But luckily, the Hotmail service or Outlook.com has foreseen a really practical and useful solution for these cases that we describe . A solution as simple as using the page's search engine , which often goes unnoticed.
How to search my Hotmail email
- To perform a search in our inbox, the first thing we have to do is access the service with our username and password.
- We access the inbox. We locate the search engine in the upper left margin , just above the "Folders" and just below the "Outlook.com" logo.
- We observe the legend "Search in the mail" . We place the cursor where that legend is. In this text box we can write the term or e-mail that we want to proceed with your search.
- There are two ways to perform the search: on the one hand, we can enter in the search engine the term that we need to locate . Press the "Enter" key or the magnifying glass of the search engine and Hotmail or Outlook.com returns all the messages that contain the searched term, sorted by date.
- On the other hand, there is the option to search by e-mail address . In this case we enter in the text box an email address, click on the search magnifier or the "Enter" key and all the messages in which that email address has participated appear.
